Do the flowers of the Aloe Vera plant yield seed that will grow new plants?
I know that aloe gets offshoots, but my hubby keeps bugging me about the flowers wanting me to gather the seeds. How long does it take for the plant to sprout offshoots…. I have had this plant about 5 years and have it planted in my garden. It’s big and beautiful and currently blooming.

I have several plants in my yard all came from one plant. Just leave the flower alone. when it dies the seeds fall and from that plant up will come another aloe plant. I never collect the seeds,I just wait to cut the shoots from the big plant and plant them in a pot or somewhere in the yard. You should have shoots off of that one plant. I have had my plant for about 5 years and I now have about 10 plants. I have planted five of these plants around my garden and from them I now have five more. So I have about 10 plants.I can’t explain why yours hasn’t produced. I just water as usual once a week for the garden and fertilize once a month. If you still do not have any shoots (they grow under the main plant) then wait for the flower to die-take the seed and plant in a pot with good fertile dirt and see if that will get you started.I also have them planted in full sunlight and partial sunlight.
