Any ideas why Aloe Vera Gel can erase the writings of a used paper?
Here is the article i have found: The research group collected used bond papers, pad papers and cartlolinas. They mixed ½ cup of Aloe Vera Sap and ¼ cup of water. They wet the used paper with water and dubbed with the mixture through the use of a cotton ball repeatedly until the writings were erased.

They placed it in an area where there is sunlight. The result of the product was successful. The paper is ready to be used again.

Do you know what specific component helps it on erasing the writings?
Thanks!

Aloe plants contain lupeol, natural salicylic acid, urea nitrogen, cinnamic acid, sulfur and phenol. Any of the acids might cause this. I’m reaching, here, but you did just ask for ideas. Hope it helps…
