Should the flower stalk of an Aloe plant be removed after blooming?
I have a very large (3-4 ft. tall) aloe plant that is around 5 years old. This spring it decided to send up a flower stalk which branched and produced 2 wonderful flowers. I have heard that you should remove the stalk after they have flowered but cannot find any documentation on it either way. Anyone out there experienced enough to know?

you don’t have to remove the stalk. It actually dies off on it’s own. We have had aloes for years, and they have bloomed many times, and we never removed the stalk. I don’t think anything happens to the aloe plant because nothing ever happened to mine.
