How do I turn this sun burn into a sun tan?
I was outside today trying to get a tan and I’m red. How do I prevent pealing? How can I make it a tan? And we have a aloe plant. Should I just break a little piece off and run it on the burnt area?
Any info would help thanks.

Chilled aloe vera will sooth the irritation caused by a sunburn. You can break the aloe plant and squeeze out the juice from it and rub that on your burn and that will help soothe it too. Good moisturization is really important if you want to prevent pealing. Any lotion with Vitamin E will keep skin moisturized. Lotion with hemp seed extract is also really good for keeping skin hydrated and preventing peeling. From what I learned in training for my Smart Tan Certification is that a sunburn doesn’t really turn into a tan. Any skin that wasn’t burnt will be tan and visible when your burn fades though. If you want to mask the redness and make it look more like a tan you can do that by using a sunless tanner. Try using Hempz Shimmer Bronze moisturizer. You can get it at Ulta but I’m not sure exactly how much it retails for (I think around $ 30). If you don’t want to get that though, any drug store gradual self tanner will work just as well. L’Oreal Sublime Glow is actually a good one that has Vitamin E and retails for about $ 9.

you just loosen the soil and gently work it out of the old pot place this all on news papers it will be a messy job
put some potting soil in the pot place the aloe plant in the pot then fill with remaining soil. gently press dirt down to get rid of air pockets
Water it well

If you study Darwin you would know that his answer would be that evolution created us differently. If you study photos of human faces from the 1920s up to now, you will notice that our faces have evolved and shaped differently. Within just one hundred years. Think of what happened at the beginning of time. Homeo sapiens in Asia had different facials structures in comparison to homeo erectus because of the climates they were living in.

Aloe varigata is widely distributed in RSA. The question is a difficult one as the plant is not really one of the biggest aloes around. As far as I know from personal experience the pup is very much the same as the parent plant. There is no real change from an immature form to a mature form. It is a low growing aloe by its very nature. They are stemless and the highest I have ever seen them is about 250mm. Aloe varigata is one of the first aloes that was successfully cultivated in Europe.

The plant comprises of mottled leaves keeled or “V” shaped arranged in three distinct ranks and the margins have closely spaced (small) teeth along a white hard ridge The inflorescence is normally branched with relatively large hanging flowers (pink to red and rarely yellow).

Easy to cultivate in well-drained soil mixture and can withstand severe drought. Afrikaans common name is “Kanniedood” which means that you cannot kill it. Often planted on graves as it represents “eternal life”
