how do you take care of an aloe plant from the cold?
..got a large (was at least 24″ in diameter) aloe plant.. accidentally, left it out in the cold (29 degrees F). it’s super mushy.. not strong, like in the summer-time. how pitiful! what can i do?

It may be a goner. 29 is pushing the envelope…….and remember that wasn’t the exact temperature on the plant…….temps vary around the yard and at various heights.

All you can do now is let the plant decide what it wants to do. Don’t over water, of course, but give it the proper light and temperatures, NO fertilizer. They can bounce back.

How cold can it get before I need to bring my aloe vera plant inside?
I live in a slightly cold area that’s just hitting winter, some years we can get down to -15c or colder, at the moment it’s still around 8-10 degrees at night but I was just wondering how cold it can get before I need to bring my aloe vera inside at night? Naturally it’s also raining a fair bit, being winter, should I be bringing the aloe inside sometimes so its roots don’t get soaked or something?

You don’t want it to get frosted… It frosts at 32 degrees, but low areas can get frosted at 35 degrees… so after the temp drops below 40 degrees, is time…
