My aloe vera plant is wilting and turning brown at the tips.?

My aloe vera plant is wilting and turning brown at the tips.?
My horticulture teacher at my high school let the students take a plant home as an end of the year gift. My house has gotten a bit chilly and I think that’s why it may be wilting. The green house where it was before was warm and moist, and the aloe vera was not in direct sunlight, now it’s in my house on the window sill in the kitchen. I have only watered it once, so I know it’s not under watering. What should I do to nurse it back to health? It’s going to be a while before it heats up here so I can’t put it outdoors. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Does anyone know of plants that have unique abilities?
I sort of want to grow plants or flowers that can do cool stuff. Like The Venus Flytrap can catch bugs, The Aloe plant can help cure sunburn and bug bites, or the Resurrection Fern that can play dead in hot heat then turn itself normal with water.

so yea thanks

Are Aloe Vera plants commonly grown in the Phoenix, Arizona area?
I have long heard about the benefits of aloe vera and I was wondering if this is a plant that people commonly grow or find in the Phoenix area or even Arizona in general? For example, are there fields/gardens where you can go see or buy them? Thanks.
