How do i know if my aloe veras are healthy or not?

How do i know if my aloe veras are healthy or not?
i plot some aloe veras in direct sunglight.
it didnt really matter before, but now as the plant gets older and grows out ALOT MORE, MOST of the aloe vera leaves turn RED.
i tried cutting them off, but they just heal and stay red.
does that mean its unhealthy?
i am told not to use red aloe veras externally because it might contain skin cancer cells; people who have skin cancer have red skin.
so i dont really know if i should just leave that pot of aloe veras to die or what.

i dont think plants contain cancer cells to humans.
sounds like your plants are just fine, i would use them.
people have red skin for lots of reasons, sunburn, maybe your plant should be moved to a less sunny spot, maybe it is getting too much sun, really..

Well, me and my mom moved into this place, well there was an aloe plant in the corner, I just need to know what kind of soil it should be in, do I need to water, how much should I water, and general care of the plant. Thank You For Ansering.

I guess it’s in the corner of the garden/yard?

How long does it take for Aloe to begin sprouting?
I just planted aloe this past friday & i need to know… How long does it take for it to sprout?

Answer by Harold Sink
Aloe is a bromeliad, so it will take a while. You can feed it every 10 days which will force it to sprout, but if you recently planted it I would wait a couple more weeks before feeding it.

My aloe plant’s roots are exposed, and most of the roots are just setting on top of the soil. There seem to be several different plants in the one very large pot.

oh my yes… split them up I had a large one in my yard thought it had babies all around….when I was done there were 48 plants… you can re pot the separate or you can put 2 or 3 together for drama… I have 3 large ones in a pot that keep blooming over and over …they are very happy together… all I did was just move them and put just enough dirt to cover the roots..
